The Digitalization consider Mayr Antriebstechnik has been an integral part of the training framework for many years. At the start of last September 2020, the mechanical engineering company from Mauerstetten launched the trainees Equipped with tablets in the first year of technical professions. The prospective industrial mechanics, mechatronics technicians and warehouse logistics specialists use the MLS mobile learning platform from the mechanical engineering foundation.
The expansion of digitalization in training at Mayr Antriebstechnik has and will also bring advantages in the corona pandemic. “The so-called 'Generation Z', to which our trainees also belong, grows up naturally with a wide variety of digital media,” explains Daniel Keppeler, Trainer for industrial mechanics at Mayr Antriebstechnik. "That is why the advancing digitization is part of our vocational training, especially in the technical professions."
Mayr works with the mobile for this MLS learning platform (Mobile Learning in Smart Factories) by the mechanical engineering foundation. The trainees in their first year of apprenticeship receive their tasks digitally with their mobile devices via a tablet or the PC workstation in the company. The trainers set the tasks and give several options for finding a solution, where and how the trainees can inform themselves in advance. They should research the first basic information themselves and get an insight into the upcoming manufacturing processes and processes.
"To the Dialogue However, if the trainees and trainers are not to be left entirely to digitization, the assigned tasks can be blocked by the trainer after individual work steps, ”explains Daniel Keppeler. "In this way, specific information can be requested or various practical steps explained and demonstrated before the trainees then start independently or continue working."
