yaskawa1019With the new development "Air Grip World", Yaskawa is showing a complete solution for the robot-based handling of bottles. The system enables safe, flexible and fast processes when loading and unloading crates or cartons. "Air Grip World" combines the patented Air Gripgrabtechnology not only with the right Motoman robot, but also with the entire required system environment:

Gripper, manipulator, robot controller, PLC, control panel (HMI) and frequency converter all come from the provider and complement each other to form a technically simple and functioning solution.

The cell is mounted on a mobile platform. This means that the system can not only be put into operation quickly, but can also be easily converted with a forklift if required. The plant capacity is 1200 bottles per hour or one carton per minute, the plant itself has a carton erector and a closing device. This makes the space-saving and flexible handling solution particularly suitable for use in small and medium-sized companies.

A sorting table with optionally one or two robots enables the automated feeding of individual bottles. The patented grippers can be individually configured to be stable and durable, and in the rare event of a defect, thanks to their modular structure, they can be easily serviced and repaired yourself.

As have many Breweries and beverage manufacturer, the Norwegian Roma Mineralvannfabrikk AS also uses the Air Grip gripper system including a sorting table. Two Motoman robot models are used: a 5-axis Motoman SP800 heavy-duty robot with a payload of 800 kg and a 4-axis Motoman MPL500 palletizer with a capacity of 500 kg. Thanks to the higher filling capacities, the company was able to increase its sales by around 30%.
