In the new smart luminaire, Saliot combines technologies from Minebea Mitsumi, with which the lighting position, degree of dimming, light distribution angle and color temperature can be conveniently controlled via an app. Thanks to an ultra-thin lens with different surfaces on the front and back, a prism pattern is created, which cleverly controls the light and reduces light loss to a minimum.
The light-collecting surface of the 1 mm thin lens consists of optical elements that mix the light and counteract the uneven distribution. The distribution surface, on the other hand, combines two lenses with different properties, which ensures uniform light distribution. An integrated Fresnel lens makes additional fine adjustments in the center of the lens.
Due to the combination of lens and motor, the light distribution angle can be adjusted from 9 ° to 40 ° depending on the model. Thanks to Bluetooth Smart CSR mesh, simultaneous control of up to 100 luminaires is possible with just one device. Control is easy via smartphone or tablet. A rail system that attaches to the ceiling or wall allows installation of most models by simply plugging them together.
The "V6 series 55w spotlight" model also has a tracking feature that allows you to track a person or a moving object through an IR transmitter and automatically direct the lighting position to the lighting target. This reduces the time and cost of a manual process.
Saliot has already won the Lightfai International Innovation Award 2016, the Good Design Award Japan 2016 and the IF Design Award Germany 2017.
