MS-Schramberg presents tailor-made sensor applications with sintered and plastic-bonded magnet materials. Exhibits in the automotive sector include a system for detecting the angular position of a throttle valve, which is exposed to temperatures of up to 160 degrees Celsius in the engine compartment.
The manufacturer relies on magnetic field calculation, especially for complex magnetization types. This makes it possible to develop tailor-made solutions for the automotive industry, where speed and angle detection as well as digital sensor signals play an important role.
For the above-mentioned critical environmental conditions, the magnetic and sensor system for angular position detection of a throttle valve has been provided with a detailed and reliable functional design. In close cooperation with the user, magnetic and mechanical properties were optimized through computer-aided simulation and the ideal process parameters for the production of the components were determined. The aim of the simulation was to ensure the suitability of the assembly in the entire aggregate - and this over the entire service life under correspondingly adverse conditions.
In order to simplify installation for the customer, the technicians of MS-Schramberg have designed a complete coupling system in a further development step. This is suitable as an interface for use in different car models. With the help of simulation software, it has been possible to construct a suitable component despite the limited installation space situation in the engine.
