Boulder, The housing bearings of the NU series from Findling offer a particularly firm and all-round even hold on the shaft. This is made possible by two concentric rings for 360 ° shaft contact. Conventional bearings are fixed on the shaft with two setscrews, with one major disadvantage: Tightening deforms the inner ring and the concentricity decreases, which can affect the service life of the bearings, especially at high speeds.

Another type of fastening are conical bearing inserts with an adapter sleeve. However, the clamping sleeve builds up so much that a larger housing bearing has to be used with the same shaft diameter, which leads to oversizing and unnecessarily high product costs. Alternatively, there is the attachment by means of an eccentric, which, however, leads to problems at high speeds due to the imbalance. This can be avoided by using NU housing bearings because, in contrast to bearings with grub screws, the roundness and size are retained. They are equipped with a slotted inner ring over which a clamping ring fitted with a cylinder head screw. By tightening the screw with an Allen key, the clamping ring is compressed, as is the bearing inner ring thanks to the slots. This ensures an all-round even and firm hold on the shaft, analogous to a clamping sleeve. This type of assembly is suitable for high-speed applications such as industrial fans or centrifuges, brush bearings and rollers and for fast reversing operation, high accelerations such as in test benches or in packaging technology.

Findling offers all standard pillow block bearing (NUCP -...) and various flange bearing designs (NUCFL -...) in nine sizes for shaft diameters from 20 to 60 mm. The bearing inserts can be exchanged with all common bearing inserts, since the crowned outer ring shape and the relubrication are identical to classic UC, EN / SA, UB / SB and EW / HC. The housing bearings are available in the various construction and flange shapes of all four ABEG performance classes: NU-series products, designs with ceramic rolling elements, high-temperature bearings, with reliable corrosion protection and particularly small and light or almost maintenance-free bearing types.
