KTR Systems Denmark ApS is based in Silkeborg and currently has two employees. "Our strengths lie in technical customer advice and service," explains Lars Haarup, General Manager of the new KTR subsidiary.

Josef Gerstner says goodbye to operational business

10.05.2016 | Prof. Dr. Joseph Gerstner (67) is retiring from the operative business after nine years at the head of the KTR Group. Under his leadership, KTR has completed a successful and sustainable development. Among other things, this was characterized by the restructuring of the company, the continuous expansion at the headquarters in Rheine, the expansion of the product portfolio and the development of the KTR locations in India and recently in China as a new production and logistics center for East and Southeast Asia.

Gerstner will remain associated with the company both as a member of the advisory board and in an advisory capacity. In addition, he will continue to perform his board duties in the future VDMA Main Board and in the VDMA NRW as well as in the Münsterland Metal Industry Association. On June 1st, 2016, Andreas Nauen will be the new managing director of the KTR Group.

Andreas Nauern takes over operational business

With Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Andreas Nauen (51), an experienced manager and proven expert in the wind energy industry will assume the position of managing director on June 1, 2016.

He then took over sales tasks for fossil power plants in India, and from 1997 for the European market. From 2002 to 2004 he was responsible for strategy and communication in the Power Generation division.

After the takeover of the Danish wind turbine manufacturer bonus energy A/S by Siemens in 2004, as CEO of Siemens Wind Power A/S, he built up the group's wind energy business. In 2010, Nauen moved to Senvion GmbH, where he held the position of CEO until January 2016. Groundbreaking for new KTR office building

"The laying of the foundation stone is a hard-earned and special event after the financial and economic crisis has been overcome," said Gerstner in his short speech.

After the infrastructure for the logistics of KTR on Carl-Zeiss-Strasse was doubled in 2008 and the system performance was expanded by more than 100%, the new office wing finally moves in for 150 employees to 3.000 m². This creates new synergy effects in terms of performance and competence, which in particular increase customer benefits.

The modern office building will latest energy standards erected - geothermal energy ensures a pleasant indoor climate and groundwater heat pumps heat the service water. In the future, the employees will be distributed over three floors, which will also be shaded and illuminated according to innovative findings in order to create a pleasant working atmosphere. The existing offices will be gradually converted after the completion of the new office wing in 2011. It is planned that all construction work will be completed in 2012.
