Automotive Ixetic opens factory in Shanghai

In November, Ixetic GmbH, Bad Homburg, opened its new plant in Shanghai. The pump and compressorsenspecialist manufactures there, among other things vacuum pumps for Audi. The total investment in machines and systems amounts to several million euros. The plant currently employs around thirty people.  

Georg Wolf, CEO of ixetic and Dr. Harald Nippel, Managing ixetic opened with a celebration of the new plant in the Pujiang Industrial Zone (Minhang District, Shanghai).

Wolf emphasized in his opening speech the importance of the Chinese market for his company. No other country can boast a comparable growth in the automotive industry. "Both in the passenger car sector and in commercial vehicles, we expect China to play a long-term positive development," said Wolf. "With this investment we fulfill the desire of our global automotive supply chain partners to brief through a strong regional presence. At the same time, this work is another milestone in our long-term global strategy to grow with in the relevant markets of the future. "

Since 2008 ixetic is represented in the metropolis with a representative. At the Shanghai plant manufactures the suppliers among other vacuum pumps for the Chinese production of Audi. By ramping up production to the number of employees has increased by the end 2012 around 100.
