BUS module for communication with the building management center

Especially in the industrial environment of office and production facilities, the advantages of the presented systems come into play and the cost-reducing advantages of BUS technology are clearly noticeable. The intelligent residual current circuit breaker "Autotest" from Gewiss regularly and independently carries out a function test without interrupting the power supply to the downstream system.
This reduces costs and increases security. The cost of traditional fault current circuit breaker testing is mainly due to coordination effort, additional manual test technicians, and production downtime. This residual current circuit breaker has both the ability to perform an automatic self-test without disconnecting the downstream system and the function of automatic reclosing. The restart function is an automatic reclosing device (ARD) for residual current operated circuit breakers. A special feature of the Restarts is the verification of the insulation resistance before reclosing. Only if the insulation resistance is correspondingly high, the reclosing occurs.
A control system makes it possible to monitor the electrical circuit in the building and controls the connected devices via the central building control center. In addition to their primary protection function, the residual current operated circuit breakers must be able to pass on their status and execute control commands from the central control center. As a rule, this exchange takes place via a BUS interface. With the newly developed communication interface for the intelligent residual current circuit breakers, the integration into the existing infrastructure can be simplified. This interface fits very well with surveillance systems equipped with the widely used Modbus. Autotest and Restart / Autotest can be configured, monitored and controlled at any time via the central control center.
