The test time is only a few seconds per point. With Phasis one it is possible to check about 500 to 800 checkpoints per layer and device. The 121 ultrasonic elements produce a physical resolution better than 0.35 mm of weld nugget diameter. The imaging of phased array technology guarantees reliable evaluation of the test results. Defects in the weld such as pores or a too small weld nugget are reliably detected. Thanks to its five-hour battery operation, only 3,5 kg weight and robust aluminum housing, the device is suitable for mobile use not only in the automotive industry.
The administration software "Phasis Manager" supports the user with a surface scan for optimal alignment of the probe on the weld point to be tested. The test plans are clearly structured and can be created quickly. Individually adaptable interfaces take over the communication with the customer's database. The testing and evaluation software Phasis Device is designed for use in the production process. It can be operated intuitively and requires little training.
