HAM has developed a new generation of solid carbide deep hole drills with diameters smaller than 3 mm. The tools work with an optimized coolant flow in the shaft. The mix of innovative internal cooling, special geometry and resistant coating ensures a long service life and very good chip evacuation.
The internal cooling with the specially developed "liquid boost" up to bore diameter 1,45 mm ensures up to three times greater coolant flow at the same pressure compared to conventional cooling channel bores. The combination with the grooved geometry developed by the manufacturer enables a reliable chip disposal. This increases the service life of the twist drills and gives them a high stability in the process.
The special tapering of the tools leads to a good cutting balance. Users can therefore drive high feed rates even with deep holes. The carbide deep hole drills with ultrafine grain are particularly resistant to breakage. For very good surface qualities ensures a high temperature and wear resistant coating.Another contribution of the manufacturer
