Industrial shock absorbers for low temperatures

ACE is expanding its industrial shock absorber series of the Magnum type in the temperature range downwards. This means that representatives of the “Low Temperature” LT series can be used in environments in which the thermometer drops to -50 ° C. This is made possible by a special oil and special seals, among other things.
Combined with 100% energy reduction, this prevents impact damage, reduces noise pollution and, above all, boosts engine performance thanks to top braking power. Depending on the type, adjustable or self-adjusting, the new dampers available with an external thread of M45 x 1,5 can absorb energy between 340 and 1170 Nm.
The LT series is available with strokes from 25 to 75 mm in a classic version made of hardened steel and as a version in V4A stainless steel. This makes it suitable for use in deep-freeze warehouses as well as in outdoor and offshore applications. With the recently introduced HT series for extremely high temperatures, the Magnum dampers are now available for ambient temperatures from -50 ° to 150 ° C. Compared to their predecessors and many other commercially available industrial shocks of the same size, Magnum dampers offer up to 50% increased energy absorption, increased piston area, and an increase in effective mass by up to 200%. The key to this is the "Airbag" called diaphragm accumulator, which serves as a compensation element for the displaced in the shock absorber oil.
The adjustable elements are accessible and adjustable from both sides, the mounting position is arbitrary, so that the new dampers, which weigh a bit over 1 kg, can be attached very flexibly.
