Unlike in the past, leakages in pipe systems are not due to material defects today, but rather to improper assembly. The new, quick-to-assemble "EO-3" screw connection system from Parker Hannifin can help. Thanks to a new thread technology, these screw connections can be installed more easily, quickly and safely.
Unlike all previous DIN standard glands, the EO-3 system is based on an 24-grade inner cone with integrated soft seal and a conical connection thread. As the world's first and only system, the EO-3 fitting allows external inspection of assembly results. On the basis of a yellow signal ring, the installer immediately recognizes whether the screw connection has been carried out properly.
EO-3 cable glands can be put together much faster than commercially available bolting systems. The EO-3 assembly requires neither a torque wrench nor a key extension - a common fork wrench is sufficient. From a tube size of 25 mm, 6-Kant-Nut provides increased mounting comfort instead of the standard 8-Kant. The 8-Kant nut facilitates access with the open-end wrench in tight spaces. The fork does not have to be changed so often, so the assembly speed is increased.
Parker uses the EO forming machines already on the market for the new screw connections. In addition to rigid piping, many applications require flexible hose connections. EO-3 is applicable for both variants. The connection to existing EO-2 connections is also easily possible thanks to an adapter. The new bolting system offers four times the safety and dispenses with the standard series series classification of LL, L and S, with the exception of a few exceptions. For all pipe sizes, a single pressure stage of 420 bar is used. Elastomeric materials can be chosen application-specific and thus media-specific.
