The new "Prelink PCB" from Harting offers safe and universally applicable Ethernet connection technology from the housing wall to the circuit board. The universally applicable solution for IT, building automation and industry serves all applications equally. Newly added are M12 cable sockets, which can also be used as wall feed-throughs, as well as a circuit board socket that can directly accommodate the terminating block.
The special feature of the functional principle of the Prelink system is the separation of the previously fixed and non-detachable connection of cable and connector into two separate units, which is unique on the market. Form the first unit Connectors, sockets, couplers and PCB terminals that have an identical receptacle for the Prelink termination block.
This final block forms the second unit and the heart of the system. It can accommodate up to eight stranded or solid conductors, which can be simultaneously shortened and contacted with the appropriate pliers in a single operation. An absolutely process-reliable and locally assembled cable now fits in every Prelink component and can be used there at any time or removed and replaced. Thus, cables and connectors can be replaced independently of each other or installed separately as desired.
So far, this modular system has been used in conjunction with popular RJ45 solutions in IP20, as a waterproof PushPull connector or receptacle, for connecting M12 connectors and also as an extension extender. In order to adapt the system even more to the needs of device developers, the manufacturer extends the portfolio with an M12 socket, which can also be used as a wall feedthrough.
With the PCB socket it is now possible to directly connect a termination block to the printed circuit board. Device developers can easily and quickly bring Ethernet connections securely to the circuit board. In contrast to hard wiring, this connection is always solvable again.
The PCB socket completes the Prelink system as a true and complete cabling solution for 1 / 10Gbit Ethernet.
