The HE 5684 Ethernet controller expands the "Imod Eco" product range from Hesch. The freely programmable, multitasking-capable control according to IEC 61131-3 with an ARM450 CPU clocked up to 9 MHz can control up to 16 I / O modules of the series directly and supports the manufacturer-independent development environment "Codesys V3". This means that the product can take on independent control functions as well as relieve the higher-level control technology through outsourced functions or add additional functions.
The fieldbus controller with integrated 2-port Ethernet switch transmits data at 10 or 100 Mbit/s and provides an internal 512 kB program memory and 256 kB data memory. Both Modbus/TCP and EtherNet/IP are supported as transmission protocols. During parameterization, the Ethernet controller can be selected via the fieldbus or configure the front interface.
The interfaces of the HE 5684 are complemented by two USB 2.0 host interfaces as well as a slot for a microSD (HC) card, which can be used as memory extension, program memory or recipe memory. This makes it easy to replace the controller without reprogramming and configuration, or make a quick process change by changing the memory card. For web-based applications, a web server is integrated into the controller to store HTML code. The 71,6 mm wide controller is mounted by snapping onto an 35 mm mounting rail.
Imod Eco was designed as a decentralized and modular I / O system for building automation. Eco stands for both the form factor of the housing for the installation technology, as well as for the fact that the functionality is tailored specifically to the requirements of modern building automation. A wide range of input / output modules opens up numerous control functions that support the various modern serial communication standards and wireless technologies.
