Welotec has added the CX series to its range of measuring and switching automation light grids. The light grids of the CX series are each available in a set consisting of a transmitter and receiver. The three series CX0, CX1 and CX2 include a wide variety of models with monitoring heights of up to 960 mm and ranges of up to 6 m.
There are cross-beam or parallel-beam versions available; The crossed rays make it possible to detect very small objects up to 1 mm. All models have a durable IP67 aluminum enclosure and are connected via rugged M12 plugs.
The light grids reacting very fast during the detection and measurement can be optionally equipped with blanking functions (blanking). The synchronization can be done optically or via cable. Two analogue outputs (4-20 mA, 0-10 V) are available. Highly visible diagnostic LEDs allow easy installation. Other options include the auto-set function, external trimmer sensitivity adjustment, self-adjustment or the remote teach-in function.
The particularly compact light curtains with the smallest design of only 20 x 36 mm on the market are proving their worth, for example, in automatic warehouses, especially in packaging processes, where they are used, among other things, for the height detection of cartons and automatic sorting. However, typical fields of application are also the detection of protruding objects in palletizing machines or the object recognition in the manufacturing industry.
